SOAP / GRIND SHOES ARE BACK!!! When I found out a new company made some new kind of grind shoes like soap shoes were back in the late 90s / early 2000s, I had to order a pair TO GET BACK INTO IT!! Lol. Haven't had a pair since high school. So damn near 20 years. Decided to hit up the flat bar at the skatepark here in Flatonia. Let me just say... The first day went well... The second day, not so much... Lol. I GOT WRECKED.. It doesn't look that bad on video, but it fuckin hurt. Lol. HAPPY 4-20 TO ALL THE STONERS OUT THERE!! (from an ex-stoner) :) This December will be exactly 10 years since I quit smoking. Honestly, I don’t really miss it, but sometimes I do think about all the fun times and memories that we had while smoking. Definitely was a special time and era. If you’ve been following along, you’ll know that after we released MJL4, we pretty much stopped doing stunts and pranks and just filmed us “partying”. Lol. So we decided to make a “secret” DVD that would only be shared and viewed between the crew and close friends. We made one copy of it, and it was called “MJL4:20”. I can recall us watching it on a portable DVD player in my blazer on our way to float the river in New Braunfels my senior year. Anyway, SOMEHOW the video got lost and no one knows what happened to it. The last person I remember having it was Amanda (RIP). We’ve kept that video a secret until now. It’s been 20 years now since the release of our first DVD, and with the way the world is now with the legalization of marijuana in some U.S. states, I figured, what the hell, I’ll post this blog about our secret stoner past and video.- DC
ON A SIDE NOTE: After I finish all the music and videos I plan on doing this year, I want to go back and revise the feature film script I wrote almost 6 years ago. It features scenes of past stories from our “420” days along with experiences filming the MJL videos, filming shows for bands, etc. But the main plot is how Dance Metal blows up and gets big. GET READY FOR DANCE METAL DECEMBER!! ;) Lol!!

The trash can roof flip fail clip aired on Ridiculousness AGAIN 2 Fridays ago. It was first on the show back in 2012 when Wiz Khalifa was the guest. I don't know why they would air it again on a different episode. Although, the clip that aired again doesn't look like the same quality video that I sent the producers back in 2012. The clip did get ripped and uploaded to other YouTube channels within the first few months when I originally uploaded it. The version that was just aired again does look like one of the ripped versions on YouTube. Maybe one of those fuckers that ripped it sold it to Ridiculousness again. But you would think someone on their staff would've remembered that they already had that clip. I don't know, seems suspicious. Oh well, click the title of the blog to check it out.- DC

Just finished uploading 5 raw footage videos to our YouTube. One is our "works" bombs we made back in the day. All you need is The Works toilet bowl cleaner, tin foil, and a plastic bottle. Figure it out from there. Lol. :P The other videos were filmed during Czhilispiel weekend in 2003. I just went earlier today (on the 12th.. it's past midnight right now, making it Friday the 13th) to Katy Mills to get the rest of the parts I needed to complete it. That's pretty much it. Here's a couple of pics from the Jeff Hardy meet and greet in Austin this past Saturday at Come and Take It. Been a Hardy Boyz fan for so long. Since 98/99. He signed a few DVDs for me, and I got to tell him my favorite matches of all-time are the two ladder matches from No Mercy '99 and Wrestlemania 2000 and the first two TLC matches (Summerslam 2000 and Wrestlemania X-7). I've watched those matches sooooooo many times. We actually saw the TLC 2 match at Wrestlemania X-7 live in Houston at the Astrodome in 2001. We were in the nosebleed section, but nevertheless, WE WERE THERE!!! It was me, my step-mom, my cousin's wife, my cousin Shane, and friend Seth. I think that was all who went. If I'm missing anyone, let me know. Anyway, I did give Jeff my cards to check out some of our stunt and prank videos. I know he's a fan of Nitro Circus, so I figured he might like some of our videos.- DC

My mom took us, and we met up with Jimmy who was already there. I ended up making a recap music video to the event that I was going to add to the MJL4 DVD as a bonus video, but decided not to. Got my custom deck skateboard from CCS earlier today. As you can see in the pic, it's a custom MJL board. Maybe the first of more to come. ;) Haven't skated in 3 weeks. Been waiting for this board to come in. I snapped my previous board trying a boardslide, so I had to order a new one. Found out about 2 months ago that you could order your own custom deck on CCS.com, so I knew my next board would be an MJL one.On a side note to do with my skating.. Been having trouble landing a heelflip over the smaller grass gap at the local skate park. Hopefully, I can get it in the next couple of days because my cousin Jonathan has been coming down from Austin to film me skate with his new camera. So I can't let him down. Gotta get it on film. C'MON!!

I recently started skateboarding regularly again, and I feel like it has awoken the passion I once had for it back in high school. I just landed a shuvit over a gap at our local outdoor skatepark after 5 days of trying, and Tony Hawk just recently released a video on the RIDE YouTube channel of him trying to land a 360 shuv nose grind on a vert ramp. He talks about the mental and physical struggles of trying to land a trick that you really want to get, and I completely understood where he was coming from. Thrasher also has a section on their YouTube called My War, so if you’re a skater reading this then you understand. Anyway, I keep driving by the vacant building where Dollar General used to be here in Flatonia and keep thinking, “Man, it would be cool to turn that into an indoor skatepark.” It would be awesome to hold events there with skaters of all levels coming together from the general area or even all over to enjoy something they love. Don’t know if Flatonia would be the place for something like that to really thrive, but if you know me I do talk about wanting to move to Los Angeles a lot. And reason being is back in high school, watching Jackass and CKY that got me into skating, then classic skate films like the FLIP Sorry series or ADIO One Step Beyond, GIRL Yeah Right, and a few others, my dream was to travel the world with skaters and make skate videos and get paid to the fact where I could make a living at it. Which is still my motivation in all my artistic endeavors. But it wasn’t until I watched the documentary Dogtown and Z Boys that I knew I wanted to move to LA and be a part of that. So I guess this blog is kind of a reach out to anyone in the skateboarding industry that knows the perks of doing something like what I want to do which is open and own my own skatepark. I’m 32 now and not getting any younger, so if this is meant to happen for me, then what better time than now. I’ve waited long enough, and I feel like the time is right to make something like this happen whether it is here in Flatonia or in Los Angeles. My email is below.- DC

This was one of the first things we filmed when Cody got his camcorder in June 2000. "The Pact" is when everyone makes the agreement that the first person who falls asleep gets messed with without any get-backs. This was a few months before Jackass aired, so needless to say when it aired, it was right up our alley to make "jackass" videos. We did a couple of more "pacts" after this one, including the "elimination pact" the next summer in 2001. It lasted until there was only one remaining person to not fall asleep. Kind of like an elimination match in wrestling. Fun and crazy times.. Click the title of the blog to check out the first pact. :)

Found this countdown video of the top 10 homegrown stunts gone horribly wrong. The trash can flip clip (made a rhyme) is #6 on the countdown (don't think anyone can beat the Crazy Mike lake jump). The injuries I sustained were a 3rd degree separated shoulder and getting knocked out for a few seconds. More than likely had a concussion but never mentioned hitting my head to the doctor. So that was never checked out.. Although, if you've seen the extended video of the trash can stunt, you know I was seeing stars by the way I was talking after I came to. Anyway, just wanted to blog about this. Thanks to PainTV2 for the video. Been awhile...

This is actually another re-blog, but here is the Hook Ups Tour 1999 article on the Transworld Skateboarding website. I met Bam back in April of last year in Austin at one of his Fuckface Unstoppable shows. I asked him about this article because it describes them pulling into C&J's with a flat on their U-Haul trailer and popping fireworks. The cops come and blah, blah, blah... Long story short... Here is the TV spot for the Slap Watergun Wake Up to Scuba Steve on MTV's Pranked. This actually aired I think back in November of last year. I've had it saved on our DVR for a while now. Didn't think it was worth putting on the internet since it's such a quick shot. I thought that the clip was going to have it's own part on the show, not just used in the intro. Oh well... A TV spot is a TV spot. It was actually used in the intro on another episode, but I've never recorded it. I've had the DVR set to record all episodes of Pranked and was going through them to find our clip, but that episode never aired while I had our DVR set. Finally, said screw it.
